This position is in the Land Base Geospatial Management Department (LBGM) within the Geospatial Management and Data Quality Organization. LBGM is responsible for the inputting and maintaining land base data and related GIS layered data in an Enterprise GIS Database and CAD mapping systems. The position requires inputting and managing source(s) of land base information to support gas and electric work order activities. The LBGM department is also responsible for data maintenance and cleanup activities in the Enterprise GIS Database as well as supporting departments in their integration and use of GIS.
Interpreting land base feature information from internal and external sources from work order designs coming from the designfield and then using CAD and ESRI ArcGIS software to input land base features from work orders and legal description documentation into an Enterprise GIS Database as well as maintaining and improving existing data.
Interpreting land base feature information from design file requested material from both internal and external sources and then modify those source documents in Microstation 7 and 8 and AutoCad from work order designs coming from the designfield and then using CAD and ESRI ArcGIS software to input land base features from work orders and legal description documentation into an Enterprise GIS Database as well as maintaining and improving existing data.
Prepare, compose, or proof correspondence, reports, and presentations. This includes creation of PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and SharePoint, or other written communications for both internal and external purposes.
Engaged in all safety, training, developmental, and company support initiatives and activities.

:Two:year associate degree in a scientific or technical field, or 48 scientific or technical credit hours as measured on a semester basis.
:In lieu of a scientific/technical degree, applicable experience may be acceptable for placement in the Technical Support job family

:2+ years' experience updating/maintaining a GIS system
:Experience querying a GIS system
:Understanding/background in accessing national, state, and local GIS resources
:Understanding/background experience in legal property and ROW descriptions
:Proficiency in using GIS and/or CAD software.
:Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings and associated documentation.
:Experience with windows XP or later, and MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
Maintains and troubleshoots electronic, electrical, mechanical, and other equipment for plant, electric and gas distribution and transmission systems. Repairs, calibrates and/or programs electronic components. Repairs and/or replaces transfer switchgear for generators, motor control panels, pump controls, valves, cables, and adjustable frequency drives. Resolves computer problems with process control software. Operates and maintains electronic equipment, diagnostic instruments, and software in performance of assigned duties, specifically: computers, volt meters, amp meters, electrical tools, electronic tools, and telemetering, and process control software.
