The objective of the Student Programs at Nexteer Automotive is to select students with high potential and provide them with \"real world\" work experiences. Work assignments expose students to many of the company s products, processes, procedures, problems, resources, staff areas and people so that they become aware of the career opportunities at Nexteer Automotive. Assignments are designed to assimilate acquired classroom education with actual hands-on work experience in a technical environment. In addition, Nexteer Automotive gains the opportunity to find new talent to enhance productivity.
Job Description
Assist Industrial engineering team with continuous improvement to the manufacturing process. Activities may include (but are not limited to): conducting time studies, updating paperwork, documenting processes, and participating in work place organization improvements.
Preferred Skills
+ General knowledge and use of Microsoft programs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
+ Communication
+ Auto Cad
Job Requirements:
+ Must be studying pre-engineering, engineering, or business
+ Must be attending SVSU, U of M Flint or Delta College full time
+ Enrolled in the ACE Co-Op Program if at Delta
+ 12 credit hours or more
+ Must have a 2.7 GPA on 3.0 Scale
+ Must be able to work 20-32 hours per week during the Fall and Winter Semester
+ Must have the ability to work up to 40 hours per week during the school year
+ Must have the right to work in US and not require present or future sponsorship
