The Compliance Specialist will assist with implementation of the Bank's Compliance Program. Assist in

the administration of the overall compliance program, as developed by the Compliance Officer, to include monitoring of regulatory requirements. Assist in research and development of materials for employee training programs as it relates to compliance of Federal/State regulations and laws.


* Associate's degree required, Bachelor Degree preferred

* 1 - 3 Years experience in function

* 3 - 5 Years experience in industry

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills including ability to interact positively with a wide variety of individuals, including senior officers.

* Sound decision-making ability taking into account all information and utilizing a \"big picture\" approach.

* Ability to collaborate with others in seeking resolution of problems.

* Ability to gather information from multiple sources in order to gain a thorough understanding of problems.

* Ability to prepare reports based on data received and analyzed.


Policy and Procedure

* Assist in the review of a wide variety of organization policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal and internal standards, noting any deficiencies.

* Assist in the conduct of compliance monitoring reviews of the Business Units as it relates to Federal / State regulations & laws.

Corrective Action

* Follow up on reviews to verify that corrective actions have been implemented.

Monitoring and Reporting

* Prepare written compliance reports that identify issues with processes and/or procedures along with assisting in the development of recommendations for corrective action.

* Determine root cause analysis for deficiencies noted during compliance monitoring reviews.

* Escalates deficiencies through proper governance channels as needed.

* Maintain up-to-date job knowledge through professional reading.
