This position will support the statewide Gas System Integrity and Enhancement (GSIE) staff to gain consistency among their processes. The successful candidate must be flexible and understand that duties and objectives may change dependent upon departmental needs; including working extended hours as needed and willing to travel statewide.
This is a full time position managed seasonally; office location will be Wixom or Birch Run.
The Technical Analyst will be responsible for collecting data and providing reporting and analysis with recommendations to meet departmental performance and financial efficiencies. The successful candidate will develop procedures and recommendations for process improvements while staying compliant with established standards. The successful candidate should have a track record of proven accuracy in interpreting and capturing detailed information.
Primary responsibilities are below:
Analyze reports (budget, financials, Code Compliance) and review the findings and recommendations with local supervision and senior management.
Perform data consolidation, data analysis and reporting to provide clear and understandable reporting and metrics to more senior team members and/or department management.
Align and analyze the work plan with budget to meet authorized financial targets.
Perform job cost estimating, safety performance/trends, business plan deployment, work order packet review and prepare presentations.
A Bachelor's degree in the applicable field of study. Less than a Bachelor's degree may be acceptable if accompanied by extensive Company or industry experience in positions that demonstrate required abilities and performance.
One or more years of Geospatial software experience.

Geospatial software certification.
Proficient experience utilizing Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook, Access, SAP and (IMR) Business Intelligence.
General technical analysis supports the planning, technical analysis, general management, negotiations, transactions, customer services and auditing of a wide variety of technical and business functions and technical processes of specific operating and support areas throughout the company. Duties and who this individual reports to will fluctuate between projects, departments and offices. Lead and/or assist with technical support for the plans, reports, impacts, contracts, schedules, estimates, data collection, observation, and field investigation. Provide technical, non:engineering support services with accuracy, on time and under budget. Use computer assisted applications software and equipment to prepare technical support documents. Understand and follow company established standard procedures for file structure and standard procedures for projects. Become familiar with business and technical plans and related material for each project and be able to utilize the information appropriately. Assists in client contact and communication.
